At Maia, we believe women deserve strength, confidence, and connection from the inside out. Our brand was created to transform the way women think about pelvic health—taking it beyond a clinical necessity and into an empowering, life-changing practice. Through guided pelvic floor workouts, we help women build resilience, restore balance, and reclaim energy in every stage of life.

The name Maia carries deep meaning. In Greek mythology, Maia was a nurturing goddess of growth and spring, symbolizing renewal and vitality. In Latin, Maia also means “mother,” representing care, creation, and the power of life itself. For us, Maia embodies strength wrapped in softness—a reminder that true wellness is rooted in care, courage, and connection.

Our mission is simple: to give women the tools to feel strong, supported, and well in their bodies—so they can show up fully in every part of their lives.

About Danielle

I’m Danielle Donovan, founder of The Maia Method — the first in-person workout designed specifically to strengthen the pelvic floor and deep core. I’ve worked in the fitness industry for over 15 years and hold certifications in Pelvic Floor Fitness and Core Confidence. After having my second son, I struggled to find a program that addressed postpartum symptoms like incontinence and diastasis recti in a progressive, strength-based way.

Drawing on my experience and expertise, I created The Maia Well workout method to bridge the gap between physical therapy and traditional fitness — offering expert-led, in-person classes that help women rebuild their core, improve pelvic floor function, and feel strong from the inside out.

Before The Maia Method, I founded CHEERFIT, a cheer-inspired group fitness program that’s been featured on NBC, PIX 11, Women’s Health, and the New York Post.

My work has always centered on creating community-driven fitness experiences that empower women to feel confident, connected, and strong from the inside out.
